Kier Construction have completed the Jodrell Bank’s First Light Pavilion project, appointed by the University of Manchester.

The grass-covered dome shaped building hosts a gallery, exhibition and education spaces, as well as a café and a 2,300ft² auditorium space which will be devoted to displaying immersive digital presentations and hosting a range of events.

Here, interiors needed to be dark and subtle, but still comfortable, calming and quiet. Rawson’s Jazz Loop Solution Dyed Carpet Tile in colour black has been used to great effect to accentuate the visual impact from above.
